Felted wool throw

Rare breed fleece with felted backing, these are more delicate than sheepskin but also more versatile.
When shearing rare breed sheep, we noticed how the fleece (which is double layered) comes off like a rug, so in partnership with very talented craftspeople, we use a second fleece as a felted backing, in order to create a sustainable and beautiful piece of fleece. Good as a throw on the back of the sofa, or for the cat to curl up on. Each piece shows the varied markings of the North Ronaldsay and Shetland sheep.
